The pontoon-outboarder will bring you right onto the beach. From now on, the hectic rat-race is behind you. Rainer and Steffi, or Josef and Renate await you along with their friendly crew After sipping your welcome drink, you will be brought to your Fale (bungalow built native-style) where your baggage already awaits. Keys (and theft) are unknown here. You have arrived in Paradise...well more or less. There are no wild animals, except for the geckos. Nice house pets, really. They eat mosquitos (and your fruit). The best thing to do is to make a peace offering with a slice, then they leave the rest alone.

International Dateline Hotel
History of International Dateline Hotel, the sole Stated-owned Hotel of Tonga was originally built in 1965 and officially opened by His Majesty The King Tauka'ahau Tupou IV in September 1966. In early 1977, an eastern Wing was built and in early 2002, an western Wing has been under building and will be opened at late June, 2003.
