The Poytaht Hotel
The Poytaht Hotel is located in the very centre of Tashkent at the Amir Temur Square. At the second half of 19th century Tashkent being capital of Turkestan Land was in rapid growth. So there was a need to expand frontiers of the city at Chaoo-lee Aryq. In the year of 1871 General Construction Plan of Zachaulin District of Tashkent (Movaraunnahr & Shakhrisabz Streets) was worked out. Presumably, there was an idea to create Tiny Saint Petersburg as a capital of Asian part of Russia.
